Welcome to SKILLTUBE. By registering an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Nature of the Platform
SKILLTUBE is an online platform that integrates publicly available educational video content with a peer-to-peer (P2P) matchmaking service. We connect individuals seeking to learn or solve problems ("Members" or "Demanders") with independent professionals offering relevant services ("Service Providers"). SKILLTUBE is purely a technology provider and an introductory venue. We do not perform the services, nor do we employ the Service Providers.
2. Disclaimer: No Endorsement by Video Creators
To provide educational context, SKILLTUBE utilizes the official YouTube API to embed publicly available videos.
- 📌 No Affiliation: SKILLTUBE, its Users, and its Service Providers are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with YouTube, Google LLC, or any of the original creators of the embedded videos.
- 📌 Independent Providers: If a Service Provider references a specific video on their profile, this is solely a statement of their personal learning source. It does not imply any partnership, certification, or endorsement by the video creator. Any legal claims or disputes regarding the quality of services must be directed solely at the Service Provider, not the video creator.
3. Membership Tiers & Access Rights
Member
Full access to browse all video content. Ability to submit service requests directed exclusively to Golden Service Providers. Requires: date of birth (age 13+).
Demander
All Member benefits, plus the ability to submit service requests to all Service Providers. Access to full matchmaking features. Requires: date of birth (age 13+).
Service Provider
All Demander benefits, plus the ability to create a provider profile, publish services, upload work logs, and receive requests from Demanders. Retention of 100% of service fees. Requires: Email verification + Phone verification + Date of birth (age 18+).
Golden Service Provider
All Service Provider benefits, plus the ability to receive and respond to requests from all users including Members. Priority visibility and featured profile options. Requires: Identity verification (KYC) + Email verification + Phone verification + Date of birth (age 18+).
4. User Responsibilities & Prohibited Conduct
You agree to use SKILLTUBE in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- 🚫 Illegal activities. Posting, requesting, or offering services that violate any applicable law or regulation.
- 🚫 Immoral or unethical conduct. Using the platform to facilitate fraud, harassment, discrimination, or any form of exploitation.
- 🚫 Unlabeled adult content. Posting, sharing, or offering sexually explicit, pornographic, or adult-oriented content without proper NSFW labeling and age-gating. Adult content that is not properly categorized or that involves non-consenting individuals, minors, or illegal material will result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement.
- 🚫 Harm to the platform. Attempting to scrape data, bypass subscription systems, disrupt services, or compromise the security of SKILLTUBE or its users.
- 🚫 Harm to third parties. Posting defamatory, infringing, or otherwise harmful content about other users, brands, or individuals.
⚠️ Violation Consequences
Depending on the severity of the violation, SKILLTUBE may, at its sole discretion: issue a warning, temporarily restrict account privileges, permanently revoke membership with immediate termination, and/or retain all legal rights to pursue damages or criminal prosecution. No refunds will be issued for terminated accounts resulting from violations of these Terms.
5. Subscription & Billing
Subscription fees are billed on a monthly or yearly basis and are non-refundable for the current billing cycle. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time to prevent future charges. SKILLTUBE does not charge commission on transactions between users. Referral programs may grant complimentary subscription extensions at SKILLTUBE's discretion. Service Providers retain 100% of all service fees negotiated with clients.
6. Limitation of Liability
Because SKILLTUBE is not involved in the actual delivery of services, in the event of a dispute between users, you release SKILLTUBE from claims and damages of every kind arising out of such disputes. SKILLTUBE is not responsible for property damage, physical injury, or financial loss incurred during matched services. The platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without guarantee of uptime.
7. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between a Demander and a Service Provider, the parties must attempt to resolve it directly. SKILLTUBE may, at its sole discretion, provide communication records or Work Logs to aid in resolution, but will not act as a judge or mediator. Any legal claims against SKILLTUBE shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with applicable laws.
8. Copyright & Content Ownership
- 📌 Platform Content: All text, graphics, user interfaces, and software code on the Platform are owned by SKILLTUBE.
- 📌 Embedded Videos: All embedded videos remain the property of their respective creators and are subject to YouTube's Terms of Service.
- 📌 User-Generated Content: By uploading profile pictures, descriptions, or Work Logs, you grant SKILLTUBE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.
9. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, bypassing the subscription system, harassment, or repeated poor ratings that pose a risk to other users.
10. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced. Our failure to act with respect to a breach by you or others does not waive our right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches. By continuing to use SKILLTUBE, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
11. Age-Restricted Items
Certain categories of items and services (including alcohol, tobacco/vaping products, gambling services, and adult/NSFW content) are subject to age restrictions and may require verification of legal age before a transaction can be completed. By listing or purchasing such items, you confirm that you meet the applicable legal age requirement in your jurisdiction.
